The Indie-Alternative quintet have announced three new gigs, spanning across October and December 2019. With a gradually growing discography of beautiful melodies and chorus-led anthems, the group are undoubtedly set to show us three really sick nights.
The group explained to us, “We wanted to do a few more dates before the end of the year to try out a couple of new songs that will be featured on our next release. With us all being at uni it’s kinda hard to plan a tour so we’ve kept it pretty small; we supported Larkins at the Venue in Derby on the 16th.”
“Next week we’re playing at one of our favourite gig spots for BBC introducing, Rough Trade in Nottingham. We’ve seen some of our favourite artists on that stage like Marika Hackman and FEET so that ones a pretty big deal for us. Then our last gig of the year will be on our home turf at Couch in Sheffield, it’s gonna be quite an intimate show but we’ve got a few tricks up our sleeves planned for that one. After our release, if everything goes to plan, we’re hoping to do a longer tour in the summer.”
August saw the band play the iconic Leadmill venue in Sheffield, with lively crowds and a talented performance that played hit after hit. Their discography, though relatively small, is packed with well written tunes and a carefully-crafted sound: check out ‘Television’ for an idea of what the group do.
The Rooves have also been hinting at the release of a new single on their social media, so keep a track of them on Spotify and twitter, and catch the group at one of their UK dates.
