Following their euphoric Live From Stirling Castle show last month and as the band reach the climax of a tense chart battle with Demi Lovato, The Snuts today release the stunning sun soaked video for fan-favourite ‘Glasgow’. The track is taken from the band’s debut album, W.L.
With a critically acclaimed album and the most dedicated fan base imaginable already under their belts, the new video from The Snuts comes as the latest in their promotion for the outstanding tune, ‘Glasgow’.
Directed and filmed by regular collaborators Forest Of Black (known for working with Liam Gallager, Foals, Biffy Clyro), the video was shot on a rooftop in Glasgow as the sun closes in on the city’s backdrop and takes the band under the cover of darkness. The setting sun forms the perfect golden wash for their love-infused lyrics and guitars.
“Glasgow is such an important track for us. It is a love letter to one of the greatest cities in the world.” Jack Cochrane said of the track. “For the video we setup our instruments on the top of a building in the city centre and performed to the Glasgow skyline whilst our lyrics ‘I’ll always love the way that you say Glasgow’ were being projected onto one of the most iconic buildings in the city.”
From their day jobs working in construction to grafting the small town circuit, blood, sweat, tears and countless shows have been poured into the album. “W.L. is our lifetime work. It’s a collection of milestones and melodies that time stamp a dream we had becoming a reality,” Jack reflects. “It’s a record about being true, loving and resilient.”
